My research focuses on deconstructing the representation of the hegemonic body as a commodified object, confined within the discriminatory frameworks of Eurocentric beauty standards. A significant influence on my practice is Legacy Russell’s Glitch Feminism, which informed my use of errors and distortions in AI-generated imagery as a deliberate artistic strategy. During my six-month residency at International Studios & Curatorial Program New York, I collaborated with a UV print studio to experiment with new techniques and materials, further advancing the trompe-l’œil dimension of my paintings. Additionally, I delivered a talk with curator Chairina Chen at ISCP, addressing cultural representation and algorithmic bias.
